Kicking Real Estate Butt with Social Media & IDX
Is Your 2013 Real Estate Marketing Plan in Place?
We all know that you have that competition that you are trying to stay ahead of, and we also know that you really need to make sure that you have a solid getting/staying ahead in 2013. The real question is, how are you tackling the most successful real estate marketing mediums: Real Estate SEO and Real Estate Social Media?
Simple enough question, but there seems to be a whole variety of answers. Let me share with you what I found to be the case at a recent Conference I attended. I was invited to be on a Social Media and Technology panel, where we talked about some best practices along with tips for the attendees. I think walking out of that particular session, you probably could have asked everyone individually what the tips were, and would have come up with at least 10 different sets of tips. Why? Well, because even on the panel, there was a little agreement, and a lot of opinions.
So, why am I bringing this up? Well, because here is the raw truth – you can start with a Social Media strategy in January of 2013, but what happens if you are trying to do this yourself, or if an assistant is working on it, and things just aren’t working? Did the strategy not work? Did you leave something out? Have the Social Platforms had some changes that you should have known about? Etc…
Inside Real Estate spends a TON of time helping YOU kick butt on Search Engines and Social Media, because this takes a whole freakin marketing team! This is not a task for you alone or you with an asisstant. Normally, you find a great amount of success, when we work together – there are still some things you or an assistant ought to do, that really builds your brand (ie. personal video). But there is a lot of things that we can do for you.
So, off my soapbox, and now for a few tips:
- Make Sure that you aren’t trying to put Company A’s Website together with Company B’s IDX together with Company C’s Marketing Efforts. Is it any wonder that’s not working?
- Make sure that your solution doesn’t weed out all the value that this online content can be providing to potential, current and past clients (ie, you are getting the same blog post on your site as 2000 other websites out there).
- Personalize your Brand and build healthy Marketing Equity – you will pay for this, but it is an ASSET to your business.
- Make sure you know what Social Media platforms make sense – for example, do you know what Google + and Diigo are?
